With a broad-based background and proven experience in HR resource services, my work includes assisting clients from student level to CEOs, across all careers and business sectors – including a fair selection of Top Ten Consulting firms, FTSE 100 organisations, major banks, high street retailers - through to SMEs.
My MBA dissertation explored the extent to which Outplacement Consultants meet the needs of those people managing or experiencing redundancy. The knowledge gained placed me in the privileged position to assist thousands of people to move into more rewarding, fulfilling careers.

With more than 25 years in retail management at senior level, I have successfully combined this experience with a genuine enthusiasm for encouraging people to realise their own potential. I understand how the business world operates and the pressures that exist in that environment.
I have extensive outplacement and training experience with such blue chip companies as Motorola, EMI, Zarlink, Northern Foods, Britannia Zinc Ltd and Nissan.
I have used both one-to-one counselling and group workshops to help rebuild personal confidence and re-motivate people, and in so doing redirect and refocus their careers. In this way they have rediscovered a new inspiration and enthusiasm.
I have found outplacement consultancy to be the most challenging and rewarding work, and I passionately believe that I can make a real difference to people's lives and to the friendly team at A Perfect Career.

Since graduating in 2000, I have personally placed thousands of Sales, Tele-Marketing, Administrative and Call Centre personnel into temporary and permanent positions. As a result, I have gained an in-depth insight into what today's employers are seeking in the people they employ.
My role within A Perfect Career is to use this knowledge of the recruitment market to:
- Provide guidance in understanding the recruitment process
- Coach people in online job searches and in the completion of on-line registration and application forms
- Match people's skill sets to job descriptions and person specifications
- Assess and advise on the most appropriate job opportunities
I am especially skilled in encouraging people to become motivated and enthusiastic, helping to build and maintain their confidence until they achieve their career goals.

As a member of PerfectCareer's outplacement consultancy, I coach and mentor people, helping them to decide what they want to do next and supporting the achievement of their objectives - whether this is getting started in a new job, beginning a fresh career or starting a new business.
Since joining Business Link and the Chamber of Commerce, I have developed a strong interest in small enterprise management and entrepreneurial activity, and have assisted in the set-up, launch and development of new businesses. Areas of particular expertise include formulating business plans, securing funding, sales, contract negotiation and customer relationship development.
My background also includes recruitment consultancy, in particular the supply of mechanical and electrical engineers to client companies in the U.S., UK and Mexico.
